I purchased your 3 month workout program and did it with my kids this summer. I’ve also integrated tons of your coaching into our program. We went from 10’ pr at the start of last year to 14’3” at Simplot with a short approach on small poles. Wowza! Thanks for all you do!
Shawn! Just wanted to let you know that I’ve been finished with the training plan for almost two weeks but it worked great! I PRd in my meet last Saturday and I’ve moved up 3 poles since my meet the month before.
Six years ago I tried pole vault for the first time. Ever since I started this crazy sport, Shawn’s Vault Vlogs and online coaching has been my source to learn all I can to be the best vaulter I can be. From being an 11-foot freshmen year of high school to now an 18-foot collegiate vaulter, Team Hoot has done nothing but project positives in my world of Pole Vault and the entire community of the Vault. If it weren’t for Shawn’s witty and informative videos I would be way deep in the weeds. Being a masters level pole vaulter I have no coach or support system to help “re-learn” technique. My wife Denise has come a long way in critiquing my efforts by watching these videos with me, but Shawn’s knowledge is un-surpassable! Thanks to Shawn I am again enjoying an activity abandoned 49 years & 9 months ago. I am forever grateful for his energy and persistence in advancing the joy of pole vaulting.
First of all when I was in high school I saw the most gains when I was on your program I could run faster, jump higher and over all I felt like I was a better athlete. The second thing I liked about your program was that it wasn’t all about how much weight you could do but it was about form and how you could utilize lifts to help you become the athlete you wanted to become. The third thing I really liked about your program was that it included stretches and flexibility I feel that that is super important for young athletes to have as a skill. The last thing I wanted to say is that you were a great coach I was never scared to ask you questions about lifting or pole vaulting it was super easy to talk to you
About your videos and team hoot we all love them! They’re good, entertaining, motivational and funny! I loved doing your workouts they truly do help, I mean I’m pretty slow but that’s just me, your workouts and the plan you developed was great for me! Whenever I had a question I could email or call and you immediately answer. I’ve grown as a player and a person. Not only have my abilities grown for soccer but my heart for the sport has grown as well. Team hoot is awesome and I can’t wait to keep watching more!
Shawn is a man that we need more of in both in the pole vault community and just in the world in general. His love for pole vault is emmense and it shows with the compassion and guidance he shows to the athletes he encounters. Personally, I reached out to Shawn after struggling heavily with the transition to college. Frustrated and ready to give up the sport, I looked to Shawn for help. He responded and though just a few emails and videos helped me to improved my vault and restored my love for the sport. Thank you, Shawn!
This summer I worked to become a better decathlete, and the Team-Hoot workouts that I did helped me improve my speed and my strength.
I’ll start with saying I haven’t compared a lot of coaching platforms with my own, so this is a first for me. However, a lot of the training has some similarities. One thing that I learned from your written “outline” was to have the opportunity to decide how the day has treated you and to have the option to pick between a hard, medium or easy day. LOVE IT! The combination of your emails, youtube vlogs, and website are OUTSTANDING. You, yourself are very motivated and is easy to see how passionate you are about the sport and helping others.
I bought your program this past summer and it did wonders for my run! Coach said I’m the fastest vaulter! Thanks!
Hey Shawn, so this week I worked on exactly what you said and I ended up Vaulting 3.70 and my previous PR was 3.25 along with moving up on a bigger pole and being able to control it. So thanks so much dude!
